About
Helping Midlothian businesses get seen.
The Midlothian Edit started as an Instagram page and grew faster than we expected. This site is the next step: one place to find the independent shops, cafés, makers and services across Dalkeith, Penicuik, Bonnyrigg, Loanhead, Gorebridge and the rest of the county.
It is not a phone book. We read every listing before it goes live, we write about the people behind the businesses, and we keep it free for businesses to be here.
The Edit is run by [your name], from [your town]. If you want to get in touch, the quickest way is a message on Instagram.
How listings work
- Any Midlothian business can add a listing for free.
- We review each one before it appears, so the guide stays useful.
- Owners can claim their listing to keep hours, photos and offers up to date.
- Featured placement and the weekly Edit are how we plan to keep the lights on. Ordinary listings will stay free.
